The core responsibility of the ETF Team is the preparation and training of our chaplains in the Classic Anglican tradition. This is accomplished through two separate Tutorial training tracks, the Residential Tutorial and the Distance Tutorial.

The Residential Tutorial is a wonderful, valuable, and essential opportunity for intense, intentional formation, with fellow chaplains, in how we as
Anglican Christian clergy conduct Anglican worship. There is nothing
more central or essential to who we are and to what we do as Anglican
Priests and Deacons and Chaplains.  And this is why senior Jurisdiction leadership gather to lead the Residential Tutorial. The Residential Tutorial is held annually during the 3rd week of September. This is an onsite full week of training and practicing the Liturgical skills needed to perform as an Anglican Chaplain.

The Distance Tutorial is a nine-month online course to grow in the
knowledge and understanding of Anglicanism—and of what many refer to as
t the Anglican ethos. This tutorial explores Anglican history, theology, and
liturgics with a relatively broad brush. The reading you do in this course should help set a framework for the reading you do as an Anglican Christian for the rest of your life. Outsiders are welcome to join the session if space is available with the permission of the Bishop of the JAFC.
